        "NO MIKEY!!!!" Gerard yelled.
      "This is MY problem and you are NOT gonna beat yourself up because of it. I can handle it." Gerard explained.
        "But Gee you didn't do anything to deserve this and he CAN'T treat you like this!!!!" There was a silence and the older man looked away.
       "No Mikey...I did do something." The younger boy looked as Gerard stood up off the bed and walked to the other side of the room.
       "I loved another man... and I tried to hide it from Davey but I guess I was evident about it and he caught on and he hit me for the first time that night and he said that if I tell anybody that he has abused me then he would tell the other man how I really feel about him....and if that ever happened then that would be the end of everything and I would have nothing... and he knows it. So i'm torn between either stopping the abuse or losing everything and I guess I have to live with the abuse..."
      
         "Gee no you cant just keep taking abuse from him...you have to stand up to him..." Gerard cut him off.
         "MIKEY I CANT...I will lose everything if he finds out..."
         "Well...who is it...?" The silence was thick and heavy as the tears poured from Gerard's hazel eyes. He ran into his little brothers arms and cried into his shoulder.
         "I can't say.... It would destroy everything..." Mikey walked him back to the bed and tried to calm him down.
        "I just don't want to talk about it right now," Gerard replied before Mikey could say anything.
         "Okay you don't have to its fine..." Mikey said not wanting to further upset him.
         "I'm tired Mikes...I just wanna go to bed," Gerard said lying down pulling Mikey down with him. Mikey didn't resist. He just leaned over and turned the light off. They didn't even change into night clothes or anything. They just laid there in the still silence and darkness together with Mikey's arms wrapped around his waist. Gerard cried into the night knowing that the abuse could never stop cause he knew that the person he loved could never find out. He could never leave Davey for he knew that he would tell Mikey how much he loved him. And if that ever happened he knew that he would lose everything... especially Mikey, his savior and the person who is causing his pain. The closed his eyes and waited for the pain of tomorrow to come and claim him.
